The turning of the clock happens, it keeps happening. Time is one of the few constants in the world. Sadly, the change of one day to the next does not change the situation we are in. The new year has started with us back in a lockdown, across the entire of the UK.
Again we must stay home as much as possible. This impacts wellbeing, whether you notice it or not it will change things for you. I will be doing what I can to provide tools and pointers for lockdown survival.
What I want to reiterate is not to feel pressured to do more in lockdown. So many people seemed to add pressure to do more stuff at home. Well I don’t know where all this extra time was supposed to go to. I got mocked for not wanting to do a “zoom fancy dress drinking party,” which quite frankly to me is something I’d never feel comfortable doing.
My point, is do what brings you joy, and also what you need to do to get through it. Its time to start being the person you want to be, doing the things you want to do, not being the person other people think you could or should be.
You won’t be getting me on zoom in fancy dress. I’d rather do something I enjoyed rather than being “forced” to have “fun.”
Do what makes you happy, do what you need to survive. If someone is making these decisions for you and your not happy about it… then you need to focus on what you want.
