Get Active Blog: Easter

Happy Easter everyone.

Last week I had to take a break from exercising. I was physically exhausted and struggling with tiredness, and a little stress too.

After two days of need complete rest I had improved drastically. On Thursday I went for a coastal walk, which ended up being a 10 mile walk. It was fairly flat so that helped me keep going.

I followed this up with a four mile walk in the woods on Friday. I live in a rural area and it was nice to visit another part of the area I had not been to before. I’ve lived here my whole life but I am still discovering new things here.

I attempted a run yesterday and managed 4.5 miles and I enjoyed it. I feel I am back on track, and I also enjoyed the extra down time.

The exercise I do outside is dictated by the weather also, as typical as English Bank Holiday weather is, I am planning another run for this evening and workouts on my home gym tomorrow.
