Blog: Guidance

It’s a common misconception that seeking help is a sign of weakness, something we only do when things go wrong. But what if I told you that the most significant leaps in my life came from actively seeking guidance, not just when I felt lost, but when I was striving for something more?

For years, I’ve been dedicated to fitness. I’ve worked out since I was 16, even earned a level two fitness instructor qualification. Yet, a couple of years ago, I realised I needed something tailored, something that held me truly accountable. That’s when I hired my first personal trainer. The impact was profound – my life transformed.

More recently, with a long-term vision to build a comprehensive fitness, stretching, movement, and mobility program, I brought on a second coach. Some might call it excessive, but I call it essential. This coach, a true subject matter expert in movement, has opened my eyes to relearning basic natural body movement, literally future-proofing myself.

It’s about expert advice and accountability. Its about investing in me.

What I’ve learned through these experiences is that even with existing knowledge and experience, expert guidance can unlock new levels of progress. It’s not just about pushing harder; it’s about being shown the most effective path, being held to a higher standard, and discovering methods you might never uncover on your own.

These coaches haven’t just transformed my physical routines; they’ve helped me build habits around journaling, breathing, and stretching. This holistic approach has truly changed my mindset and my future.

So, if you’re standing at the edge of a new goal, whether it’s health, personal development, or anything else you’re dreaming of, and you’re wondering if you should reach out for support – do it. There’s no shame in investing in yourself and your aspirations. I did, and I have absolutely no regrets.
