We often hear how important exercise is for both our physical and mental health. There is a lot of science to back that up too. What we often don’t hear so much about is just how much exercise we actually need.
The UK government recommends a minimum of 2 and a half of moderate exercise per week, and this should be spread over at least five days. What that exercise looks like will differ from person to person, but raising your heart rate can be anything from a gym workout to house work.
For me, I love exercise so I often do workouts at the gym or at home or go out for a walk. I find it has to be exercise I enjoy to motivate me to do it. If I don’t enjoy the exercise, I’ll not be motivated to do it.
