I hope you are well. This blog is being written whilst I am sat on a bench at the end of South Port pier.
“Si puedes soñarlo puedes hacerlo”
A good friend of mine recently said this to me, he is Spanish. It translates to if you can dream it, you can do it.
This really resonated with me. If you want to do something for you, dream out loud and get I done.
I’ve talked a lot about my own goals and how writing them down with steps to achieve this helps me achieve more. I used this inspiration from my friend to achieve a major personal goal. I’ve finally taken up Paddle boarding, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
On Sunday, as a birthday present to myself I had my first paddle boarding lesson in the Albert Dock in Liverpool. I smashed my own expectations, went quite a bit further than I thought possible, and I didn’t even fall in. I loved it so much I did a second session in New Brighton on the Wirral.
The opinions of others do not matter, you do not require validation of your dreams from anyone. Nor do you require permission.
I travel solo most of the time. This has taught me to be strong, independent and to do stuff for myself.
I’m sharing this experience as a reminder that you can do anything you want.
Dream out loud. Write them down. Then ask yourself, what first step can I make to achieve my dream?
If you can dream it you can do it
