In 2022 we shouldn’t have to leave parts of our identity behind – be that our cultural or ethnic background, gender identity, sexuality, disability, or health – when we work.
What does ‘my whole self’ mean?
Wherever you are working from, feeling supported to bring your whole self to work is better for wellbeing and better for business. This means working in an environment where you feel comfortable to share who you are, without having hide aspects of your life away, such as your protected characteristics.
If we can all bring our whole selves to work, we can build a more inclusive environment where everyone feels accepted.
My whole self day
Bring your whole self to work on My Whole Self Day, 18 March, and every day!
The highest performing workplaces are supportive and inclusive. We work best when we don’t have to exert energy masking parts of our identity – be that our cultural or ethnic background, gender identity, sexuality, disability, or health. My Whole Self aims to create a healthier working culture by bring together diversity and inclusion with mental health and wellbeing.
Mental Health first aid England are celebrating my whole self day with a live webinar, 18 March 2022 from 11am-12pm. This event is free and open to all to attend. You can find more information and resources o
