Time to talk day 2022

on

3 February 2022 is Time to Talk day.  So this blog is simply to highlight that day and talk about talking.

I want to include a quote from the home page

“A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference.

We know that the more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down, helping to end the isolation, shame and worthlessness that too many of us with mental health problems are made to feel.

Time to Talk Day is the day that we get the nation talking about mental health. This year’s event might look a little different, but at times like this open conversations about mental health are more important than ever.

We need your help to start the conversation this Time to Talk Day – together we can end mental health stigma.”

Talking about mental ill health, and making a safe and open topic for conversation is really important to me. I often talk about my own mental health in hope that I can inspire others to have these conversations too.

Not everyone is comfortable talking to someone about how they feel, and mental ill health.  That too is really ok – finding a method to release those feelings is important.  If its not talking, it could be writing it, journals or event just spending some time thinking about it helps.

Today, think about those people in life who really matter and maybe get in touch. Have a chat, check in or even just say hi
