Year End Gratitude – 2023

on

Its my last working day of the year, so thought I’d share a gratitude post. I’m off on holiday this evening to Scarborough, one of my favourite places. However you are spending the weekend, I hope it is a good one.

A lot can happen in a year, and it is often easy to focus on the negatives that happen in a year. As per most years, this one has been a mix of good and bad, but I am choosing to focus on the positives.

What are you grateful for this year?

A few from me

  • I got to travel and enjoy holidays this year – for me, its a positive way to manage my mental health
  • Exercise – I’ve hit my goals for the year with exercise, and I am grateful for the joy and focus this brings me
  • Work – I am grateful I get to go to work and earn my wages. I’ve hit my personal goals career wise for this year, and I’m happy with how the year is ending. I’ve got career plan for next year too
  • Friends – I would say these days I don’t have a high volume of friends, but that’s not what matters – its the quality of those friendships. Some of my stronger friendships are ones I’ve made through work
  • Pudding (my Cat). I live alone, with just my cat Pudding for company at home. I’m ever grateful for him, as well as for KitKat (my ither cat) who passed away on 21 May this year.

I hope you all take a moment to focus on the positives from the last year. There will always be messy times in life (that’s how its supposed to be) but focussing on the positives, big or small, from 2023 is a great way to end the year.
